Our very first podcast is with Prof. Mary C. Waters, M.E. Zukerman Professor of Sociology at Harvard University, who spoke at the University of Kansas department of sociology annual Carroll Clark Lectureship in 2012. She talked with Dan and Kevin about her research on the experience of Hurricane Katrina survivors, immigration, and race.

The second podcast is with Prof. Bart Bonikowski, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Harvard University, who spoke at the University of Kansas department of sociology annual Graduate Student Sponsored Lecture Series in 2013. He spoke to us about his research on nationalism.

The third podcast is with Dr. Robert Wuthnow, Gerhard R. Andlinger `52 Professor of Sociology and Director of Princeton University’s Center for the Study of Religion, who spoke at the University of Kansas department of sociology annual Carroll Clark Lectureship in 2013. He spoke with Danny and Kevin about his book, Red State Religion.

The fourth podcast is with Dr. Alexander Stoner, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Salisbury University, who spoke at the University of Kansas department of sociology annual Graduate Student Sponsored Lecture Series in 2014. He spoke with Danny and Shane about his research in environmental sociology and the idea of the anthropocene.

The fifth podcast is with Yale sociologist Dr. Margarita Mooney. We talk about her recent research on trauma and resilience among young adults. She recently spoke at the University of Kansas Department of Sociology

In STAR's latest podcast, Shane Willson discusses critical theory, its history, evolution and future, with Dr. Harry F. Dahms, Associate Professor of Sociology at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
